Is that Yakima roof rack? Im about to buy either a Yakima or a Thule, since shoving the mtb in the truck is getting annoying and that leaves no place for the road bike. Can you take a few up close pictures of your maxima with it one and few front pictures?

Thanks dude, Canon A95...excellent camera for the price. It's been replaced by an updated model now tho, not sure which.

Also any reason why you choose the fork racks instead of like the highroller that holds the front wheel?

Chrome: If your looking at getting one, osr rack and rackattack and others have the yakima and thule racks 10% off and you get free locks with the yakimas right now.

What exactly did they rub? The K1s that is, just curious because Im considering running 245/40/18s. The wheels have a +35 offset...Im dropped on Tokico springs so around 1.5 inches.

Hmm I bought the entire rack (q-towers, crossbars, steelhead bike trays, SKS locks, wind fairing) for $330 shipped on eBay...used. Check your local craigslist for used racks too...I should have done that bc I found some good deals after I already got mine. The bikes def won't fall off or anything, they are locked down secure...if your suspension is firm and you hit bumpy pavement the bikes will sway side to side which can get unnerving though.

No problem, yeah you can't go wrong with Yakima or Thule...I think I got the 36" fairing...just build your rack on Yakima.com and it'll tell you what size you need.

I got the fork racks bc they seem to be more secure since it's locking down the fork instead of a wheel...but either would work. After some time I was kinda wishing I went with the wheel rack because it became a hassle to take the front wheels off everytime you put the bikes on.

The rear tire sidewall would rub the rear fender everytime I hit a decent size bump or dip at fairly high speed (like on a freeway)...front tire sidewall would rub the fender if I was turning quick or again if I hit bumps. Then again I was pretty low on the coilovers...when I was on my sprint/agx drop I NEVER rubbed. On my +37 offset 8.5" wide front the wheel itself would stick out of the fender a tiny bit.

I'm loving them now...they look really nice in person, I'll probably get some 5mm spacers on the back to get them farther out.

Thanks for the reply Ludacris, You had me scared for a second there. With my strut/spring combo I doubt I will rub, I kinda figured it was because of your aggressive drop...

Very nice car BTW. Paint those wheels bronze, the Z wheels looked so sexy that way!
