Those ain't bad at all! A drop all around is in order though. Other than a drop I've seen way worse setups.

$400 maybe with labor. I think Eibachs go for about $200.

rims aren't bad... need a drop, srpings/struts. if you do the work your self, it wont cost you more than 500 depending on the springs and struts you get.

Your car body looks really clean without a wing.

But the wheels aren't my taste - I don't like chrome.

you may want to drop it some, not that much. :] Its a beautiful car and i love the wheels. And i love how you have no wing. I dont have one either and it looks good without one. Nice Maxima <3

yah some people like the wing some dont i guess its just personal preference, the car actually didnt have a wing when i bought it kind of glad it didnt...just one more thing that would rattle... the wheels arent chrome theyre polished silver 18x8's i believe the tire size is 225/40/18 and id love to drop it but i dont want to mess up the ride and smoothness, nevertheless i would need the extra money haha but maybe soon

I'm not such a big fan of chrome/polished wheels but it doesn't look so bad and you could use a drop

If you are going to go chrome/polished then that's the way to go. Nice choice. However, just like everyone has said a drop is a must. That or you should've went with a bigger rim.

ok, i agree with what youre saying when you dont want to drop it. I agree. Mine is stock height. Stock wheels..blah blah..i love my wheels. Even if they are stock. Sometimes, stock looks good. But anyway, when you do drop it lower, their are parts you have to keep a check on and all and things you have to replace every year when you do lower them. Like the struts, bushings, the whole suspension really. Feels like youre riding around in a red wagon haha. From all the experience i have seen with them, i dont like it. :[ I like your height ok. Do what you feel is best for the car love.

if i can scrounge up the extra money ill probably do it, on a scale of 1-10 one being not a lot 10 being a lot how much of a loss in ride quality will i loose by putting on lowering springs/struts.....is it the more you drop the car the less smooth your ride will be? or does the amount of drop not effect the ride quality and it all be in the type of springs/struts?

Depends on spring struts however generally the lower you drop, the higher the spring rates have to be to prevent from bottoming out, which makes for a harsher ride...

Some don't compensate with higher spring rates, so the ride quality still suffers because your constantly riding on bump stops and bouncing around. Generally atleast for fourth gens, and I believe 5th gens, around 1.5 inches is ideal without coil overs. Its not bad at all, not stock, but you will live. Invest in a good quality strut, Tokico Illuminas come to mind, i LOVE mine. And you can change the dampening (stiffness) with just a turn. Don't skimp on the springs either, do lots of research and you will be golden

the drop, and type/quality of the spring set you get both depend on how the car will ride...getting new aftermarket shocks definitely helps as well, as they are made to take the extra beating from the usually stiffer spring rates, and will last alot longer than even new OEM shocks...my 01 max is lowered on Tein S-tech springs, which provided a really good drop for my taste (on 19s with rubberband tires), and im riding on stock shocks...I do not mind the ride at all, its definitely a little bit stiffer, but nothing worth complaining about, IMHO

seconded.

You don't really need to replace bushings any more if you lower your car, but if you DO replace them with new OEM or polyurethane ones you'll probably notice an increase in responsiveness, depending on how bad they are. What you will start to notice is a few more rattles in the cabin from the extra firmness of the struts (which you DO need to upgrade if you're lowering your car). Getting some subframe connectors welded in should go a significant way towards helping or even eliminating this.

Also keep in mind a few things:
Lowering the car more than 1.5" or so will compromise your suspension geometry. You'll start to gain positive camber and toe-in on compression, and your ackerman will be out of whack (basically, when cornering hard your inside front tire will be screaming and not really doing anything, very annoying if you're a twisty junkie).
You'll have to get an alignment if you lower your car, and should probably get a camber kit unless you want your tires to wear quickly.
You'll need to be more cautious going over speed bumps, etc. I can't park in a particular underground garage because my car won't make it out the exit.
