all the trim will be blackwood for a nice contrast. and i mean all the trim. there will be a few chrome/silver accents as well.
Thats gonna look sick! Everytime is see a red interior I think of a Ferrari Koenig Competition F-50.

I hope you're not modifying the stock Maxima seats. Look into swapping the G35 coupe seats into the car and then do custom upholstery. Then maybe a newer looking steering wheel. You have so many possibilities. I love seeing people convert their cars into the sport/luxury feel. Quiet, thick, flashy, yet not to flash interior is my thing.

I would have personally wrapped the dashboard in leather, and did custom stitching. I think the red is a little OD tho, black dash with red stitching would have looked killer !

i'm gonna go ahead with the stock seats. i have some modifications planned for them, but the overall shape is good for me. i'm a big guy so sport type seats can get pretty uncomfortable for me.

i'm set on my the fabulous steering wheel, although i am having some trouble getting it. the price is high and the wait is long, but its what i want.

i had originally planned on re-wrapping the dash. however, once i saw how it was put together dying became the best option. wrapping it would have added to much bulk. oem fit/finish was very important to me.

i went back and forth on doing the red interior for a while, but its what i really wanted and once i saw a car that had done something similar i was sold. its coming out as good as i had hoped so i'm happy.

*edit... now you have me thinking about s14 seats. d**nit!

yeah i read something about that, but it was just talk. i wouldn't be suprised if half the people on the org think its stupid anyway. it will be a show build and a lot of members are more performance oriented. not to say there won't be some goodies under the hood, but it probably wont be too much (haven't decided yet what i'm gonna do).

yeah, i'm gonna need some new rears.

that door is actually my old door from when i was shaving the handles and the gaurds. now i will be getting new doors and shaving the handles only.

the steering wheel plan has changed, if i can get them to match my interior color.

i've been wrapping up the interior dying. 95% done.

gonna finish it up and try to make a couple final touch ups.

got some sound deadening coming in from don (pearl96max) and then it will be time to do some wiring and start putting it back together. i left a couple pieces to do last so i can put together a little write up for those interested.

all and all it looks pretty good, i wish i would have waited to do the dash last but i think after some touch ups it should look real nice.

edit - btw, the cluster bezel will be going with the blackwood coating pieces, wasn't sure until i mocked it up.

Props to your hard work! It's coming along nicely.

In all honesty, how hard was it to pull the dash? How many hours? Was the windshield removed by chance? I have a crazy idea that I just might pursue.

i actually pulled it a couple years ago by myself in an apartment complex parking lot. from what i remember it was pretty much just a lot of bolts and some hidden ones. i do remember thinking i should have never done it by myself though, its pretty big and akward.

the dash is annoying to pull but it can be done in an hour I think.

Blk- the dash set up looks simply amazing blazing.

It's looking good so far. I always thought red interior would look odd in a car until i saw scott storch's lamborghini a while back.

iirc, running bags over coilovers will allow the car to lay frame..or come close to it. a lot of VIP cars run this set up..it offers more drop room over putting bags on struts.

i was expecting to lay frame, but came up ~1.5" short. there are some pros and cons but i am going to stick with it like this rather than do the exstensive work it would take to lay it out.
