When are you going to promote it to LEVEL THREE and get rid of the front license plates?

Price with tires isn't too steep at all IMO (notice it says OBO, hint hint)...good luck finding DHs on Takumi, if anything I would try rbmotoring, they always seem to have a few sets...

no, im not saying that price to too steep for what they are. IM saying that even at that obo price they still need to be refinished is all. yeah rb has some good stuff aswell.

Offset in the 20's would be the most aggressive I would go. If I had my 4th gen still, I'd go with

18x9 +20 225/40 tire
18x10 +20 235/40 tire
fenders rolled flat and pulled

The more you pull the lower offset or wider tire you can go. It's a real shame the rear of 4th gens is solid beam, giving no camber adjustability.

Does the 4th gen suffer the same rear offset problem as the 5th? The lower you go on the 5th gen, the more the passenger side rear wheel sticks out and the driver side goes in. There is suppose to be an alighnment procedure with the rear solid beam bushings but it did not work for me.

thats just never gonna happen. it could be done, but i don't know anybody (including me) who is going to go through the trouble to fit those sizes properly. its easy to play the numbers game but if you look at the rear wheel arch theres no way you could get a 1" pull without completely rebuilding the 1/4 panel (unless you did a half-a** bondo job).

Yeah the 4th gen has the same problem. The passenger side sticks out the lower you go. You can re-center the beam by loosening the bushing bolts and retightening after its at the lower ride height and that should fix it. Never tried it myself, but that's what I heard.

Well Mr****s was running 18x9 +13 with 225's in the rear with just a moderate roll and it looked just fine, pretty flush with a tiny bit of room to spare. There should be no problem fitting a 10" back there with slightly higher offset.

i geuss it all depends on what your idea of fitment is. a lot of people like poke, i don't (well only under a specific set of circumstances).

mr fitment (btw, you need to post in "THE fitment thread" in wheels/tires) heres where i was comin from:

to get (my) perfect fitment (lip to fender), that sizes would require about a 1" pull. if you were to pull an inch 1 of 2 things would happen; you would probably buckle the quarter in the little crease above the arch. if you managed not to you would have a rediculous arch because alll your pull would be in the last ~2" of the 1/4 panel. to do it right (imo) you would need cut back the outer sheet metal pass the crease and weld in new sheet metal.

i (honestly) beg for someone to prove me wrong. i would love to see it done well.

Im already at Level 4. lost the front plates and took out the stillen rear license plate frame. the car is dirty as hell tho. so that bumps me down to Level 3.

I can have them refinished for an extra cost. good luck finding a perfectly clean set for under 1800 including tires with lots of tread left.

I think one inch can be done...has to be done with care but I am fully confident...

Maybe one day i will give it a try

BTW I have been hesitant to post in the fitment thread since I don't have true fitment yet (missing STANCE) but since you offered I will bite...
