Im not a huge Mustang fan, but I can appreciate a good looking Cobra. Now the lightning on the other hand, I love them...I also like that style f series as well...I wish I could find a lightning.

Sorry dude, there are a bunch turds in this forum that think the Maxima is they only car worth owning. I had an 86 GT and I miss that POS. I'm thinking bout getting a Lighting to pull my E-stock Miata.

let's get a few things straight here...
- posting in the general section of your car because we removed weekend battle is not the right approach. if you want to talk illegal street racing talk about it somewhere else.
- telling people that you want to race them to settle a discussion is childish.
- the fords are nice...some are fans...some are not. let's keep the bashing out of the forums.
- no where on the forum states that you must own a maxima to be here.

why do you need to tow an ES Miata? Just put your rcomps on a tire tail and change at the track

I don't tow my E Prepared Maxima

It is a 95 R with no cruise control, and I'm 6'1". After a two to three hour road trip, my knees start to ache. I have toyed with the idea of throwing on an after market cruise control, but those things are a little suspect, plus that adds weight.

I'm planning on taking the Max to the time trials in Nashville in May. Should be interesting.

OMFG.....

I have been on this forum longer than a lot of you and this kind of crap has been going on for years. Problem is that some have matured from that stage and others have not.

Rocktard: I seem to remember that the Fords my family has owned have gone well over 100k with fewer issues than my '02 Maxima and its phone book sized list of TSBs. Hell, I used to crack on Neons until my wife's which lasted quite a bit, even with my right foot. The point is that this guy is a member who is just as proud of his Mustangs as most of you are of your Maximas.

chad: I'm sure ALL of his Fords would DECIMATE the Maximas from a roll or from a stop. One thing I know about Terminators is that they are plenty powerful stock but you really don't know if the owner has modded it until you get into a contest that you wind up getting your **** handed to you. Lightnings? All he has to do is put a smaller pulley on the blower and he would take down EVERY Max on this board....literally.

ASU: on the Terminators.

They are actually 99 Cobra wheels that don't look bad but I want something different.

Both of mine (white Cobra, and the Lightning) are CAI and catback vehicles. The Lightning is getting a 6lb lower pulley installed Friday and tuned Saturday morning. Should put it into the high 12's.

The DSG (dark shadow gray which pops in person) is a upper pulley and exhuast car. Makes 460/460 at the wheels. He is getting ready to put a Whipple on the car and should make somewhere inthe 600/550 range.
