New Shoes

Well i bought some more rims for my black Maxima and wanted them black so here they are. They are Falken Koblenz 19x8.5 with Toyo 225/40/19's

Those are really nice wheels. The painting came out pretty good too. What kind of paint did you use?

Looks good but I hope you went crazy on the clear coat (how many coats?)....road debris tend to own DIY painted wheels from what Ive seen

I used duplicolor engine enamel.

I used about 8 coats of paint and 4 coats of clear so the paints thick as crazy lol. But it wont chip.

Because u usually dont like anything thats not stock. I plan to detail it once the new kit is installed.

I didn't say it didn't work. But the whole point of getting wider rims is to be able to use wider tires. And the point of wider tires is to give you more traction (unless we're talking snow tires, then it's the opposite).

I just don't understand why you'd want those puny tires on such a wide rim when you could run 245s or even 255s and have more rubber to the road

Plus wider tires look so much better than skinny little stock-width tires, IMO.

I run 245s on my 17x8 track wheels! and you have an extra 1/2" of rim width to play with.

Running a tire that wide i would rub. I dont need to put any more power down or have more rubber to the road I have slicks. Honestly they arent thin at all.
