Dirty car, New Grill

Got it today, and installed it... but I'm not sure if I want to keep it... What are your opinions?

Hm don't really like it. The front end now seems blank. You need something like the grille on my '03. Its almost like yours.

I don't really like it. I think it's because it's so bright and stands out. I think the stock grill looks better. If you want a change, maybe you should look into the mod where you get rid of the Nissan emblem on your OEM grill. There was a a DIY in the 5th gen forum a while back.

it looks ok right now if you add other mods maybe a body kit and wheels it will flow better, certain mods flow once you have put them all together, mods grow on you as you mod more....

really not feelin it. never been a fan of that style on 5th gens...

ever thought of doing this:

not to ***** myself out but if you want to be different but 'close to stock' that is always an option.

+1 for shaving the nissan burger off the OEM grill...I think the new grill is is too bling for the subtle look of your maxima but I wouldnt go so far as to say the new look is bad or anything

stock grill is great on both gens on max. I think the 5.5 is a little tacky with the huge nissan burger in the front but other then that its perfect.

yeah, the grill Torgus has would fit your car quite well I would say do that as well...it just stands out too much compared to the rest of the car or just go back to OEM

Is the torgus grill basically just taking off the nissan emblem?

thank you for the compliments.

it's rather involved actually. you have to remove the emblem, cut the 'backing' for the emblem all out. then i supported it and made a kinda shelf so it would be strong as just bodyfiller i don't think will last/hold for long...blah blah blah its a decent amount of work. then obviously you have to primer/paint it.

if anyone wants one i do 'make them'

just mail me your grill and paint code and the paint code you want for the interior gloss/flat black or a custom color whatever and in about a week you'll receive the 'modded' grill all work i do is done in my friend's professional body shop i just have to find time to get in there and do it.

self wh0rage:

imo it's the best grill for a 5th gen. that or the stocker painted body color with the chrome emblem still on...

I have a similar billet grille, but I don't think it will get a lot of love from avid 5/5.5 gen Maxima fans. I'm thinking of going back to stock
