1999 - Any Suggestions?

So far all I've done besides washing, cleaning, polishing, waxing, and using plastx is taking off the sun roof visor, removing "maxima" off the back, "SE Limited" off the sides, and I'm in the process of removing the pinstripe glue.

In a week or two I'll be getting my 6k HID's and installing them, then I want to replace the bumper lenses, tail lights and get new wheels. I also need to reupholster my interior and get new side mirrors. Other than that I can't think of anything to do besides paint it, but I probably won't be doing that for some time.

Any suggestions of anything else I could or should do?

i would definatly keep the se-l badges on the doors, but like you said remove the maxima badge and pinstripes. with that color id do smoked red/clear tail lights, black housing r34 one piece headlights, and smiked bumper lights....also id try and paint the rims black first before buying new ones. and of course you need a drop. good luck with the car

Yeah I have been wondering lately if I could just get some paint from autozone or something and paint the wheels, I just wasn't sure how it would turn out. I also painted the windshield wipers and I'll be painting the black around my windows in a few days.

yeah just clean them up really well. do a couple coats of primer, a couple coats of gloss black, and than the clear coat. just do light even coats and read the directions on the can and they will come out great...

Subscribed for potential. a drop and a lip goes a long way in the appearance department.

don't remove the se-l badge. it's the only year that has that badge. looks like your passenger quarter panel is damaged. you can try straightening it out as much as you can.

+1 on keeping the SE-L badges. Repair or replace the front passenger's side fender. Then clears, tint, wheels and a drop. Good luck!

It's kind of hard to tell, but I am assuming this is sterling mist, no? In the first pic it looks a little like pebble beige. I've never seen a pebble beige with black leather, so I guess it's fair to assume KT3. Definitely has potential though.

smoked light all the way around and tinted windows will really set it off. and a slight drop.

keep it simple tho, i think the best looking 4th gens are the ones that arent overdone
