Got the snoop dogg treatment on my car...
...dropped it!
I've been meaning to get a drop since December. Things have fallen through for me on several occassions due to bad decisions. Well this time I finally came through and got a drop. I really wanted BC racing coil overs, but I settled for a spring-shock set-up.
I picked up Tein S-techs from a member on here last week. They were used for 2 months, and I saved a substantial amount over buying them new.
Everything else I purchased new. KYB AGX shocks, dust boots, and mounts with bearings from ImportRP.
Thanks to Nilesh (djfrestyl) for doing my suspension. Good work, fair prices, and a good location in NJ which also is close to NYC and eastern PA.
The goods:

Red shocks + green springs = Christmas in June lol

Before leaving my house:
OEM suspension; front-passenger shock blown and leaking.

My Max sits as high as a Pathfinder!
After swap:

The ride home was 100x different, and better. My car has 130k miles, and the front passenger OEM shock was totally blown. It rode like crap and I got many weird noises from my OEM suspension. I now feel stable at higher speeds, and when I hit a bump, my car doesn't feel like its going to snap.
The S-techs are nice. The front is nice and low, but I wish the rear was a bit lower, like 2" instead of 1.8. After Nilesh was done with the swap, I scraped backing out of his driveway lol.

Thanks for the comments guys!
springs were used, but everything else was new. setup ran me about $700 total. car basically rides like new because i also changed my spark plugs recently.
i would have some money left over from graduation, but my car is misfiring and i'm pretty sure its a coilpack. could have used that money for another mod, but oh well.

if you need a budget setup, get GR2s ($300 new) and progress ($175 new). thats about $475-ish and than you should get new front mounts w/bearings and all 4 boots which is about $100. importRP has the best price on all that stuff, except they don't have progress springs, but you can get them in the GD section. its hard to get a quality drop for under $600, but its possible in this case.

same here. i LOVE how the front is dropped. i can stick 1 finger between the fender and the wheel, but the rear isn't as low as I'd like it to be. the only springs for 4th gens where the rear is lower than the front is megan racing, but i heard they suck
oem fitment and kyb's arent rated too well. i know a bunch of people who used them and said they didnt last. i put on oem strut plates and no problems.
