James, are you driving it yet?

I know it's comparing apples to oranges. But what's it like driving a boosted FWD vs boosted RWD?

all I can say is omfg.... that car is beautiful! I am purely jealous of everything about it. That engine bay looks immaculate and the polish is crazy. Good job.

How much did all of this cost??

IMO, fitment of these wheels are ok at best. Next set will be much wider and hella flush. I'll be adding the full Do-Luck body kit which includes rear overfenders which add 1.5" to the rear, complete new front fenders add 1" to the front IIRC.

I think the G-tech meter tells this info. I'll have to try it out and see. With my newest suspension mods, it would be great to see the lateral G's too.

Not yet. Very soon hopefully.

Both cars are fun in their own ways. Max's power is very linear and predictable. Torque steer is a bitcch though. Supra is more fun, handles like it's on rails, and puts a big smile on my face everytime I give it medium throttle. When the OEM second sequential turbo would kick it, it felt awesome and could feel myself getting pulled back into the seat. Can't imagine what it's going to be like now with twice the power.

Sure, since you put it that way. LOL

Currently, some Do-Luck aluminum floor support bars have been installed under the car. Pretty rare part. They only weigh 8.33lbs for both, including hardware!! Pics to follow.

SPE also installed a Do-Luck rear cross bar inside the car to assist the HKS coilover suspension and keep it planted during cornering.

Valentine One radar detector is being installed, and being hardwired.

Thanks for chiming in dude.

Thanks for the input.

I'm going to be getting a project car soon and I want to stay in the tuner world (I gave my max back to my dad). I am torn whether to get a 300zx TT or a max (I can't help it, I absolutely love the body style).

So what I'm going to have to do is buy a lift and get BOTH!

Nice build man!! Any specific reason for the HKS stroker over the titan motorsports?

I use to be very active in the supraforums community back in 04-06, while i had my mk3, that got written off and in came the maxima. Ive always liked the MK4, something about its timeless styling, everytime i see one it makes me want to go out and get one. The pure potential in power those cars can make is disgusting and the aftermarket is huge. I actually saw a MK4 pull a flyby on me last night while driving home, turned left before we could have fun. Started looking at them, but i think id perfer a 996 turbo!

Anyways good luck with her! Those things are solid with the OEM long block, built motor she will be good for along time to come! Make sure you post up some vidoes as im looking forward to seeing them.

Wow, I didnt know about this build, pretty crazy. Question wizard. the differences between the octanes and different power output was it just changing the octane alone, or the tune was adjusted as well (such as raising timing for the higher oct)?

You can run more timing and boost on higher octane fuel without pre-detonation. It's not the octane of the fuel itself that raises the power, but the additional timing and boost!

Well, I know that. I was just curious if thats what they did (raise timing with higher oct), or simply put in higher oct.

Nice. Thanks for the link! Definitely looking into these types of systems, just needed something quick while I do my research.

I'm sure you know this....but the 300zx TT is a beotch to work on. Absolutely no room in the engine bay. Solid car, definitely would be fun to have and mod. Hope you get one.

I'm an HKS nut if you couldn't tell already. When given a choice, I go HKS. I believe HKS makes some of the most, if not the best, quality parts for the Supra. The HKS stroker for the Supra is tried and true, and has been utilized w/o issue for years and years now. The Titan kit is too new of a product for me to even consider it. Warranty wise, I feel I'll have much better luck with HKS should I ever need it. Also, which Titan kit are you referring to? Titan's 3.2 poorboy stroker, or their 3.4L??

STILL waiting on the dyno vids from SPE...

When changing octane, the entire tune was revamped. Simply just changing octane wouldn't have yielded such numbers.

Small update:

Purchased some Do-Luck aluminum floor assist bars. Both bars including the hardware weigh 8.33lbs!! These puppies are pretty rare and were air shipped directly from Japan.

The Do-Luck rear cross bar (RXB) isn't quit as rare, but a nice addition as well.

Usually, one has to choose between the Sparco harness bar or the Do-Luck RXB, but SPE thought outside the box and made them work together. I'm stoked on this, because I believe I'm the first to have this mod in the Supra community. Big thanks to SPE!!

Do-Luck RXB

Not with all that chrome/polishing. It'd get dirty ... If it were a serious show car, then you get a custom clear hood made
