MIK3's 02 Modified SE w/ Modlist

Unfortunately, I think I have come to an end with modifying, sadly. If the car had about 30k less, I'd continue. I had plans of getting this into mid 12s NA and know I would have achieved it. But with 93k on the clock, I'm content with where it stands. Money is not of the essence right now and I will have to dump a couple extra thousand to get where I want. I plan on keeping her for some time. She has certainly opened a few eyes on the road as she stands.

What is done:
Cattman 3" cat-back exhaust
Cattman Gen III headers/y-pipe (ceramic coated)
Test-pipe (now off)
NWP phenolic specers
NWP block plate
Berk Intake w/ Apexi Filter
Otto FSTB
Tein H-Tech springs
Tokico Illuminas
17 degree timing advance
Unorthodox Ultra Sc pulley
A34 19" Nismo Rays on Yokohamas
Stillen classic lip
Re-painted front grille
9SMD Amber foglights
Amber day runners
Black SE-R engine cover

Had planned to add:
Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel
350z HR Clutch
Nismo/Tomei/BC Cams
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
NGK Double Platinum Sparkplugs
NWP Torque End-Link
Progress RSB
16 x 9 wheels w/ MT or Hoosier Slicks
Engery Suspension Shifter Bushings
CF hood/trunk

And the pictures:

I'm loving the entire amber set up you have going on there. How good is the light output on the fogs? I'm SO tired of the yellow foglight scheme that everyone goes so crazy over nowadays. I remember bosch amber fog lights on Chevy vans back in the 80's.

Thanks for the compliments guys. The light out put for the fogs are not nearly as bright as stock. You can tell they're on at least a 1/4 mile way though. They're purely cosmetic as fog is minimal here in AZ.

And no, I have not ran it at the track yet. I planned to dyno and run it after my modifications. I'm fairly certain as it stands it's a 13 second 4 door sedan. I'm content with that, but content at best. Like I said, if it weren't for the climbing miles and monetary situation (applying to graduate school isn't cheap) I'm certain the car would see completion.

Thanks again for the kind words.

12s is nice with a NA maxima but your car is easily a mid 13s second car and honestly having a mid 13 sec street car is still very much respectable. It still has enough grunt to put a hurtin' on many other cars with the mods it has. Nice balance of show and go. Loving the matching parking light, fogs and sidemarkers.

I will however say that you did miss out by not adding the fidanza flywheel. Man, that thing makes my car rev up like my bike!

Which grad school are you applying to? Im about to go for my second masters in september. The max will stick with me through that time.

he didnt say its in the mid-12s. He said he would LIKE to achieve that but his plans changed and he's content with it currently being a 13s car.

Car looks good and very nice mod list. I'd say still go for the ES shifter bushings and spark plugs at least. Minimal cost for mods and what at this point could be considered maintenance.

That's the one part that I kind of wished I had installed the most, haha. Maybe when the clutch goes I'll throw the flywheel in as well

As far as schools, I am applying to 10:

Arizona State, ASU-polytechnic, U of Utah, Colorado State, UC Merced, George Mason, CSU Long Beach, San Diego State, U of Nevada - Reno and Claremont. I'm applying to various MS/MA/PhD progs related to psych and cog sci. Should be hearing back before April 15th, very excited!

This is true. I plan on actually putting both in actually. I agree they are more maintenance than modifications honestly.

And thanks again for the compliments guys! I had high aspirations to bump Jaypee out of the #1 5.5gen NA time, he'll retain his position it's looking. Who knows, maybe down the road I'll buy a low mileage 5.5 and take a trip to SFR for laughs

Looks good Bud! It's a money pit for sure. You've come to a good stopping point. Let me know if you ever wanna let that catback go.

Indeed it is, a money pit, haha. But a healthy one. As far as the exhaust goes, it'll be a couple years before I let it go man! Haha. Worked hard to get the bastard.

And thanks again for all the compliments! Glad to see the amber theme is receiving liking. That's also my 2nd classic lip. My first one got stolen. WTF...so if anyone buys a Grey Lustre lip with white scratches on the bottom, please notify. Haha.
