1995 Maxima SE 5spd

Updated Pics on Page 3!!

Some pics of my 95 SE 5spd. I bought it off the second owner he had owned it since 25k He took very good care of it mechanically. Synthetic oil changes and whatever else it needed. It drives great. Unfortunately he didn't take care of the body that well. He attempted to do body work of his own and well he failed lol. This weekend I will be picking up a new front bumper, fender and door. Also a set of 17" Titanium 6 bars. Im looking foward to getting this car 100% again. I missed not having a max for 3 years. Its the best feeling to get back behind the wheel. Here are some updated pics its going to be alot of work to get this car looking great again but thats the whole point in a project right? Ive got alot of plans for the car. First is trying to source some decent body panels. Front bumper DR fender and Dr door. Ive gone over the car and buffed it. Spent a good 10hrs on the paint getting it to look good. It was worth it. Thanks to DJ420 for the rims and alot of help along the way!!!

Looks like the previous owner taped the fog light in so it wouldn't fall out? My guess.

You have already done some great work with adding the wheels, headlights, and good buff job... Can't wait to see more!

BTW, I spy a quart of Mobil 1 in your garage... Good Call!

It's got potential. Suggestion, just remove the fogs until you decide what to do with them. Prob look less 'damaged' and much cleaner w/o the cracked, fogged lenses. IMHO...

One foglight was missing so he taped over both of them with black duct tape. Im getting a new front bumper so im not concerned with getting the tape off. Im just having trouble finding a set of used foglights at a junkyard.

This winter i will be fixing the fender, door, foglight, coilovers, warpspeed y pipe, catback, dek intake mani, jwt ecu, 97+ trunk with m3 lip, short throw shifter, and a few other things. I just finished putting a decent system in and doing a few other things. Its moving along pretty quick.

i rolled around on cut stock and eventually cut sprint springs on stock stuts for a while. rode fairly well, all things considered - was bottoming out on some bumps in the road, but the handling was very similar to "out of the box" setup D2's just with the D2's having more room for movement and adjustment..

So I decided to start my winter project a bit early. Today I started disassemble of the maxima to prepare it for a ton of work. So far I removed the hood, lights, grill, bumper, bumper support, fenders, and splash shields. I need to fix the body (fender, door, bumper) and i am going to pull the motor/trans. Going to tear the engine down and remove everything except the cyl heads and replace any gaskets needed. Im also going to put in a new upgraded clutch and possibly flywheel, and repaint the engine/trans. Headers, warpspeed ypipe, cat and catback exhaust will be going in as well. Then I will most likely do a dek intake mani and install the coilovers. Can't wait to get it done for next summer. Ill keep this updated as I go along here's some pics of what ive done so far.

Fortunately theres only surface rust on the pinch weld. The car is in amazing shape for being in NE its whole life. Given it was garaged.

Thanks! Its really comming along. Picked up a gauge pod along with a leather interior recently. The leather really made it look more upscale. I need to do something about the steering wheel. I like the look of the 97+ SE i just gotta figure out if the plugs are the same. If not im gonna try and find another 95-96 steering wheel in better condition.

Picked up a new drivers door its pretty much mint. Still looking for a fender, bumper is going off to the body shop soon to get a respray. Trans is out just waiting on my ACT clutch and B&M STS (when I find one lol). I also picked up a I30 auto dimming mirror, wood trim for the center console and dash and chrome interior door handles.
