Figure I Will Finally Introduce Myself and My Projects

Well I have been perusing the boards for a little while now so I figured I would introduce myself and my toys. I have an addiction and it is cars. I seem to pick more up but never get rid of any I used to be on several automotive forums a lot until I got burnt out until recently and I also have been showing vehicles at lots of shows in the southeast since 1999. I also enjoy autox as much as I can when I am not traveling for shows and working. I like kinda oddball things and I have built them over time over the years.

Onto the good stuff (some of the pictures kinda suck because they were a long time ago with an old 2.0MP camera but I tried my best).

Here is my 1997 Nissan Maxima which brought me to this forum. Pretty much all stock for now and is my daily driver. I want to go in the VIP styled direction although this platform presents its challenges in many ways for that style so we will see how well it goes (I have been reading some of the members posts from here that are also over at VIPStyleCars.com which has given me a little bit of education hehe). Either way I will enjoy it , make it tasteful, and make it with my own style cues regardless.

This is my 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V It has a ton of stuff done to it and is currently in the makeover process again. These pics are from around 2005 - 2006 so it is a little bit dated now.

This is my 2004 Saturn Vue Redline Edition (soon to be bagged cause I can't stand the fender gap). These pics are from 2009.

This is what kinda started me with the import bug although it was a wierd platform. It is a 1992 Nissan Stanza which eventually I would like to come back to and play with just cause it is such an oddball car to modify. It is also where my screen name came from although it was never really fast lol (just never changed it over the years since I identified with it for so long) This is back in 2000.

Sorry for being long winded but i am enjoying my stay so far and I have been learning lots of useful information on the board. However you guys are really making me want to boost the Maxima which I am trying to avoid doing cause I don't need a faster car to get to work lol. Lots of nice cars on here, props to you guys

Not enough hehe. Mine put down 239whp on a Dyno Dynamics dyno on 8psi. I know other people on similar setups hit around the 273whp mark on similar boost on a DynoJet and if kicked up to 11psi should hit 300+. I was always a wimp and didn't want to pop the motor because at the time pple were skeptical about how much the stock block could take. I think ppl are pushing the limits more now so they may be getting better numbers but I haven't been poking around on the Sentra boards in a long time to see how the rest of the community is doing.

As for more pics of the Stanza, I don't really have anymore good ones worth sharing at least. The tranny has been shot in it since 2001 and I have been too lazy to swap the car or put another tranny in it to to get it up and running.

Thanks for the kind comments

Yeah that is the World Challenge CF kit. It was the 3rd production kit when the original company owned it. I had to paint part of the front lip though because it was chipped when I used to drive everywhere in the car which didn't make me too happy since I can't get a replacement

Thanks again for the kind words.

No problem, everyone has their own opinions on what they like or don't like, nothing wrong with that

The plan so far is to keep it simple and not go overboard. The immediate list starts with lowering it and getting some wheels. I would like to get my hands on either some used Leon Hardiritt Ordens, Leon Hardiritt Waffe, Work Euroline DHs, or Weds Kranze Bazreias. I like some other styles as well but those are tops on my list. I haven't decided if I am going to go with coilovers or bagging it to get the lowered stance although I am kinda leaning towards bagging it for the adjustability on the fly.

Other than that I will likely just put bolt-on performance parts and maybe some Audison and Hertz equipment for sounds and call it a day.

If I have my dream list of what I would like to do, I wouldn't mind bringing over a Fabulous kit, converting over the I30 front end, and doing some fender work to fit some more aggressively sized wheels but I am trying to keep this build simple and just have something that looks nice to cruise around town in without being overly worried about it to where I won't hardly drive it.

I don't want to go as extreme as BLKonBlk98 was going on his build hehe but I give him props on what he was doing until the accident with his Max because it was coming along nicely.

We'll see where the road takes me I guess. luckily winter time gives me some time to think more about what i want to do and search around.

I'm really feeling that Sentra except for the wing. If you go in the same general direction for your Maxima that you went with for the Sentra it'll turn out pretty sick. I like the Saturn and the Stanza too. Nice lineup of cars you have there.

sounds like a really aggressive 'simple' plan you have lol. you had me at the choice of wheels you called out. like i said, if the 4th gen turns out like any of your past/current projects, its for sure going to be on the elite end of the spectrum

Well like I had mentioned in the post, the car is a bit dated because that was back in 2006 and the wing was put on back in ~2004 so it was more of a sign of the times. That is one of the things I am not as fond of now as well but to rectify the situation I either have to buy a whole new trunk lid or fill the holes and paint it solid. It does't look as bad in real life but if you look dead on from the back it doesn't aesthetically appeal to me these days either. The car was actually tore back down in April of 2006 for its makeover and I haven't gotten around to finishing it so its new conception will be different from what it looks there.

I appreciate the feedback though

That's what we like to see. Originality. That's the best Sentra I've seen in a minute. The Vue is nice enough to make me want one. Welcome.
