Exclamation My 5th Gen (Work in Progress)

So decided to make a thread of the progress of my Maxima. Its a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE California Spec. I picked it up on September 27, 2010. Had a 129,000 miles and one previous owner, no car fax reports. I will keep updating the thread as the mods come in. Here we go...

This is how it looked when I first got it; super dull. It was parked for 3 months before I picked it up. Washing off the old demons, as I call it.

Couldnt stand the bubbly tint, it had to go. Also, got me a used Stillen front lip and sideskirts. just need to repair the back one.

Found me a set of SER's from a chick for $175. I picked them up in a heartbeat! The wheel had pretty bad curb rash on all the wheels so decided to throw a stripe to cover them up a bit. I like.

Put some 225/45/18 Rubber on them.

Plans in the near future:
I just purchased:

A turbo kit from Turbo Specialties with a GT35

A 6 puck ACT clutch with a heavy duty pressure plate to be able to put the power on the wheels.

I'll post more pics when the items come in and as the build comes along.

Its all good hommie. She doesn't have a say so. I handle business at home. My kids nor wife are missing a thing, so as long as that don't change, reasonable mods will follow...

As of right now I just want to install the kit. I didnt get the fuel system the company provides. I am buying some 370CC injectors a walbro 255 fuel pump and have a local shop called JMS (youtube it) tune it with Greddy Emanage Ultimate. Hope to change the downpipe to a 3 inch and just do a 3" piping off to the side. JMS usually does two different tunes a turtle tune and a haul butt tune. Im hoping to run 8 pounds on turtle tune and around 13 pounds on the aggresive tune. So if anyone has some 370cc injectors, a walbro 255 fuel pump or a Greddy Emanage, get at me.

I have pretty much new Deatschwerks 380cc Injectors, Haltech Platinum Pro (with what you're doing will supercede the Greddy EU) and a couple other things for sale in my thread. Let me know if you'd like to pick anything up.

Thanks for the compliments. The wheels were a blessing to me. I wasnt looking for them, they just fell in front of me so I took'em. As for the money comments Its all about hard work and sacrifices. But rest assure, after this kit there wont be many mods... for a while.

Nice!! Looks good, but do EVER wash your car with the brush from those places. The brush itself can scratch and damage the finish and 99.9% of the time those places use reclaimed water so there are contaminants in it that you are brushing onto the car that can damage it too.

i'm sure he knows about that at the same time most of us dont have perfect paint jobs, nor is this car a Ferrari or the such. so with the imperfections we have in our paint...its almost no big deal. i know personally i wont be going back once i get my car buffed out, but you get where i'm coming from

Your car looks great. I usually hate things like red stripes on..well, anything, but it looks good with the drop. Not a fan of the Stillen lip, but it doesn't look terrible.

Good luck with the turbo. Sounds like a fun project.
