I ran that clutch for years, d@mn good clutch, loved the feel and grab of it.
I just learned this the hard way

Oh well, I hope it holds until Tax Return season (6mt swap for the white car, and my ex-maxima owner friends who all went to owning lame civics no longer have anything to say about their better mpg).

I think it will hold up fine. Exedy makes nice clutches.

Ditto, even tho I would be near the limits of the stage 1 clutch though as is right now, I think with me being less race oriented/less into abusing the **** out of this car it'll last long enough.

Also found some more pics... Apparently my car is popular w/ some photographers who covers meets....

Bring it

Updates?

2.1 60 ft achieved.

Best time so far finally tying the red car but still about 3-4mph behind it.... 14.8 @ 91mph

Going again on Sunday to IFO to hopefully yank some better times.

I'm out

Nope, I no longer believe in time corrections anymore.

The DA for that day was in the low 2000s, if I correct that 14.8 run it says 14.33..... I then tracked two weeks later in Houston when the DA was -117 on my best run of 14.80 @ 92.56........ The car did feel better but nothing even near 14.33 better, I still yanked multipe 2.10 60 ft's but none of which led to anything close to the red car's times.

Great looking ride. I've gutted my '96 Maxima for LeMons racing. It was either gut and race or a long road to restore. Glad to see there is a clean, sharp white 96 out there!

Go ahead lls, you're running out of time before the white car goes 6spd... Then that trap will be in the 94-95 range like before w/ the red devil

Once it goes 6mt I'll prolly throw on the power rod deleted 00vi, and then i'll have 0 power losses in my powerband w/o an extended rev limiter

Thanks, the red car was still lower, but I have to daily this 350+ miles a week, can't afford to be as low as the red car when it was 200 miles a week, so it's as low as I'll go with the white car.

If it is going to be a drag car why don't you spend the money on a 4AT and mod the hell out of it? No way even the best driver can shift as fast as an A/T plus for DDing you cant beat and A/T either

Instead of making a long post, I'll narrow it down to two things.

Gas mileage and gearing.

This is true. The 4AT will never be ideal for spirited driving on the weekends but changing the shift points really helps

less power per mods due to drivetrain loss ...

Face it, unless you're making big power the AT is just going to hold you back.
