Hello everyone,
My name is Brian from North Carolina, and I bought an '04 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SL back in August. I'm loving it so far. It's my first car, so I'm not experienced with fixing or modifying cars at all, but I definitely want to be. I want to do something to up the performance, but I obviously have no clue what to do, which is why I'm here- To learn how to work on my car and just general knowledge pertaining to my car.

Hey Brian - Welcome to Maxima.org. This club is rich in Maxima knowledge going back to the 1st generation. You can learn a lot of about automotive "best practices" from this club in addition to specifics about your Maxima.
