hey guys just wanted to make myself at home here,spent a while looking for a 5.5 gen Nissan Maxima but ran into an Infiniti I35 I couldn't pass up after I checked it out . 130k black with black interior .. Some minor details but nothing too difficult like a small dent on the drivers fender and a crack in the drivers side headlight . The car is pretty clean for being an 02 .. I have to tune up some small stuff like the engine codes for the evap or fuel cell pressure sensor other than that nothing serious. I know these vq35s burn oil from what I heard so question is do I go synthetic or regular? I have all the maintenance records and it's been passed down from the original owners to their son and then I bought it. I had to drive two hours away to pick it up but I think it was a great pickup. I'd like to do some clean mods and appearance wise just a nice drop with spacers and maybe a front lip kit.

Anyone has any suggestions on what I should change as far as my tune up this weekend ? I've had some pretty nice cars in my past (Audi a4 b5,Acura cl.acura integra,Nissan Altima).. Should I be worried about the timing chain tensioner (I hear a very light low sound when I leave a green light but it goes away after 1500 rpm.. What are some cheap easy bolt on mods besides cai/h/e ? Do the plenum spacers give some good hp? Anyways guys sorry for all these questions glad I could be part of the community.
