Hi... I am new to the forum and I'm hoping someone can help me out with my Max. I have a 2000 Maxima GLE. I have owned it since 2007 and haven't had any real problems with it until the last 4 months or so. During this period of time, I have fixed/replaced the starter, fuel pump, alternator, the battery (3 x) cam shaft sensor, crank shaft position sensor, PNP switch, radiator, radiator cap, exhaust items, spark plugs, coil packs...all, brakes, muffler. I may have left out a sensor or two. Not sure anymore. Was having a problem with it overheating, and didn't have 4th gear for awhile was the last problems I was having with it. Got the gear thing almost figured out, stopped somewhere, shut the car off, and when I started it, the gear shift was stuck in park. When I finally got that unlocked, I only had first gear, and the instrument panel was dead. Help! I don't know what to do! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, not sure about your answer. but I do want to ask you a question regarding the egr value since you've done so much on yours. my 2000 maxima's egr value has a small opening b/w the middle silver part and the bottom black part (shown in below picture). Do you know what that is for? When smoking my intake, I saw smoke coming out of that opening, is it normal? Thanks a lot!
