Hi guys, I'm Chris, and a new member here. I live in NE England, in a beautiful small coastal town called Saltburn-By-The-Sea. Love my cars. My current fleet comprises of the following:

1997 Porsche Boxster

1999 Nissan Primera GT LE

2004 BMW 530d

2008 Mitsubishi Outlander

And I am going to be buying back my old 1987 Nissan Sunny in January, which I sold 2 or 3 years ago and regretted it every day..

So why am I here? Well, I passed my driving test and bought my first car in 1988 (an awful 1979 Renault 18), and I always remember that the Maxima was a car that I aspired to own. Something about the rear lights I think. There are only a handful of these cars which have survived in the UK now, and one of them came up for sale a few weeks ago. I didn't instantly jump on it because I have a finite amount of storage space, and four cars (soon to be five!), but this J30 remained unsold, and the current owner was getting more desperate to sell. I was worried that he might end up getting it crushed, so it would have been rude not to say "hey, I'll have it already!!". So this is the advert for it....

Totally standard looking, but charming for it. It won't stay that way, and depending on availability of parts, I have seen a few lovely examples of improved J30's on this very forum. This one in particular is one which I have fallen in love with....

and this ^ is the route I am heading down for sure. If I can get mine anywhere near as nice at that one, I'll be a happy man.

Great to see a friendly forum for these old cars, and I am sure I'll be hoping there are some parts available from your side of the pond to improve my Maxima over this side.

Ta ta for now,

Chris
