Hi I just replaced my alternator and belt and like a dummy i removed the pulley wheel.while i was installing the alternator after reinstalling everything sounded good but drove it around today and now its making a noise from the pulley it sound like its to tight tor it rubbing against something so i loosen it a little also when i adjust it from the top it looks like the pulley is moving. and the noise doesnt go away so my question is how do i adjust it properly 98 nissan maxima

 

Make sure you reassembled it correctly

You loosen the bolt on the pulley before adjusting from the top then retighten
