New here & to Max w/6 speed

So I was at a charity Auction and this 04 Black Maxima comes up with a 6 speed. It runs rough with a miss under 1500 RPMs. However, it sounds like a ignition coil in my experience and since it only has 103k miles and I was told it set for over a year while oil had no smell or smoke I thought - "maybe this is a hidden gem" Even though I first owned a used maxima 24 years ago that needed a AT - and generally have not trusted Nissan every since - I still thought "wait, its a good reputation on that 3.5 V6 and I love the idea of Japanese 6 speeds so lets throw out a bid... and I won. Turns out it also had like new Michelin tires and battery was dead but only 1 year old. Charged that sucker up and yet would not start twice, while having a slight spinning electric motor noise even though it had no key in it. It sounded like the heater fan but I could not be sure. Still I got it to start on third time and then checked codes... got 3 codes and 2 of the codes where the same - P1065 ECM Power Supply Heater and 1 code was P0305 - cylinder 5 misfile. I took the ECM out and Nissan dealer can not even get them. Found a place in Illinois called SIL electronics that cost $90 for repair so I just sent that off. Waiting for new set of coils, plugs and hood struts. I plan to change out all fluids and check brakes before putting it on a road test. If you have read this far maybe you can give this newbie a few tips. I notice the black paint is not bad but needs some love from being in the sun. They installed a aftermarket Kenwood stereo - hoping it and speakers work fine. No floor mats so any suggestions? I think I am gonna like this and would not mind doing a few fun mods but only basic that do not tax the engine - thoughts? Also with only 103k miles what are thoughts on timing chain or water pump or other parts that might need attention? Thanks for any feedback. Glad I found this place.

suggestions for helping paint look better?

6 speed! and aftermarket stereo

Thats awesome. Never heard of that. So what was the mechanism he deleted? Pollution control? What are the long term effects on the engine? Thanks for the info. Stay safe in Chicago.

I am not from Chicago. I am in Southern Indiana but my family is from Vandailia IL and my youngest son is playing football at Illinois State. I was just saying "be safe" because of all the shooting and crap. 2100 shooting in 6 months is crazy! But back to the NWP block off plate - have you done it? Are there any reports of it hurting the engine in the long run or causing a engine code? And on the 75MM throttle body - same questions plus where do you get them?

I do not know any specialized sites for dating creative people either, but personally I use this boise personal ads one. I just indicated in my profile who I am, what I do and who I am looking for, thus suitable people and, as a result, the girlfriend was found without extra efforts) in general, I think it is possible to meet people here too, even on the forums
