K&N oil Filter

I am about to change oil and oil filter and i just wondering is this oil filter better than the original nissan filter. I also use K&N drop in filter and very happy about it.

btw my local Kragen sell K&N oil filter for 9.99.

but the best 3 from what I read are Amsoil, Mobil 1, and K&N.

I would like to no where it was. Based on Amsoil tests, the K&N wasn't all that great. Amsoil, Mobil 1, Purolator, Napa Gold, etc. topped them.

Of course, where/how filters are made seems to change every year or two.....

It was from one of those "follow the link" things after searching for the right filter for my oil cooler... I'll see if I can find the site again. They stripped down each filter and measured SA, antidrain back... different construction material, etc.. K&N came in after the Mobil 1 filter by a narrow margin.

Couldn't find the other site but this one is close...

http://www.shoclub.com/lubrication-o...n-oilpart5.htm

This one was an older test without K&N...

Re: K&N oil Filter

Please do not just make such a vague title.

"Is the K&N oil filter better than the original Nissan Filter?" would get you more responses and let people know what it is you are looking for.

Vague titles = fewer viewers = even fewer intelligent responses = waste of bandwidth = why bother posting
