Stupid ECU question... where at on a 99?

Hello all,

Read the FAQ, found what appears to be my ECU down by the gas peddle behind the cover.
But it does not look exactly like the ECU photo in our write-up; no labels of any kind, nor did it seem to be able to take a common screwdriver to even use it.

Have a 99 SE-L, was there some change-over in 99 that prevents the average owner from accessing the ECU (if what I found was the ECU..) to get the MIL codes?

Else, I'm at the mercy of the dealer running Consult against it. I'd kinda like to have an idea before going in...

Thanks tons in advance!
Steve

Some 99's have a 5th gen style ECU that does not look like the rest. Also, it cant be "diagnosed" in the same fashion.

Thanks Ben!
BTW, you wouldn't happen to have any ideas on how to get MIL-code info from this version of an ECU box?
TIA,
Steve

Well... looks like it's off to the dealer then. My 99 only has 29K miles on it, so it better be covered by some kind of warranty!

Thanks again Ben!
