Hey folks! I got in a little accident and cracked my front bumper cover. (1996 Maxima GLE) This is the first accident or damage I've had in 6 years! I live in Los Angeles. Can anyone give me a recommendation for an honest body shop around here? I've got no experience with body repairs (so I need to have it done as opposed to doing myself) and my dealership (Santa Monica Nissan) doesn't do body work.

Also, can anyone tell me about how much to expect to pay -- so I'm not totally naive going in? Thanks a lot for your help!

 

Most shops have quoted to me around $500 to $700 to replace and repaint my bumper cover...

 

Damn that is alot. Buy a new bumper for like $60 and get it painted for like $100-$200 and put it on yourself.

wow that's good stats 6 years without any accidents or damage in LA. you can also search www.procarparts.com for a bumper might find a cheaper one there.

But you have to remember, the bumper is not an item you want a cheap paint job on. To get it to blend in with the rest of the car and not look like crap becuase the paint doesnt match will cost some money.
