Anyone have this issue with their POP charger
I'm not sure if it was doing this before, but it's something I noticed after doing some hard acceleration / stops in a local parking lot:
I notice that when I step on my gas at around 3-4000 RPMs while in 2-5th gear, that my engine revs up about 500-1000 RPM, then drops back down, then continues to climb.
It's almost like it's dropping a gear (but I'm a 5spd!!!!). I was just wondering if anyone else notices this on their car with a Stillen POP. I am not losing any acceleration power down low, but it feels like it might impact my ability to maintain hard acceleration, such as when doing a 1/4 mile.
Any thoughts? Need more info?
Thanks,
Mike

Please provide input / feedback / concerns re: lag in acceleration when stepping on gas (jump in revs, then fall, then climb), using Stillen POP.
Thanks

Anyone else have any thoughts on the problem / solution, and how much it would cost to fix.
njmaxseltd: thanks for the "idea". Hope this is not the case. Is this a fix I could do myself with limited experience, or best left to a pro?

Thanks for the posts
With regard to the slipping of the clutch, would this make my car "lunge-y" when I step on it? It seems to be doing that.
As far as maybe it's battery related, who knows. Would be nice. I might give it a try later (can't hurt!).
Thanks, and keep the ideas coming. If it is the clutch, I've got just over 100K KMs on it, is this about the time for this to happen? How much $$ to fix?

thanks for the info. That's pretty heavy $$ for a clutch... damn! That may make me forego lowering it... grr.
What's the advantage of an ACT clutch vs. an OEM one? Your experience?

After the break-in I am still able to chirp 2nd and 3rd (which I could never do with the oem). The clutch feel for me is 3x stiffer then the oem was but it grabs a lot quicker especially compared to the clutch in my 2K2. After the warranty period if the clutch goes in the 2K2 I would replace it with an ACT.

Sounds great, I'll look into a Group Deal on them, or try to find a cheap ACT in case that is the problem.
Not looking forward to spending that much on it, and I'm sure I'll get in trouble from wifey for more money on the car, but oh well. heh heh.

Man, it's starting to get worse... whenever I step on the gas in 2nd gear on, I get a bit of lag, then lunges forward... doh.
I'm hearing clutch slippage as a problem. That's $$
3rd, 4th, 5th opinons?
