Ummmm, I'm gonna need some bigger pockets Its not that bad. It's really only thicker, not really wider or longer.

comparison, the top remote comes with the Autopage as the second remote.

Anyway, thats off that group deal. Cant beat $225 shipped (normally $300)

Ummm, look alittle closer.. thats not a maxima key/remote (no trunk release button). yes, its very confusing.. there is a tiny strip of velcro on the maxima remote so I dont have to *look* at it. and everytime I leave my car at the dealership, they peel it off... everytime.. I dont know why.

Hmmmmn....

I'm betting this thread turns into a who's got what on their key chain, so I'll go next:

I've got the OEM key and fob with a BMW key ring(wishful thinking!).

My REAL key chain that I carry all the time is in my other pocket with a LED flashlight, miscellaneous keys, FRY's VIP card, and another BMW key ring(two's better than one, right!).

Pics are comming soon! Which if you've seen many of my posts means NEVER!

Tim, I see now!

If you are looking for a GD, then check this out
http://www.groupbuycenter.com/buy.asp?row_id=6225

got mine, 225 shipped.. placed order Sat, shipped Monday, got Thursday and they even included the DEI sheet for 2k max(even tho we have it here already) - even tho I hadnt asked for it.

They are open to modifying the order, with other sensors/addons and such. Like, that keycode transponder box you need for autostart. they have it.. was like $35 or something.

someone else ordering from them said they still had some in stock. You dont have to go thru that groupdeal thing.. just email them and set the order up (I paypal-ed). At least the groupdeal site gives you info on their ratings.. but its an unnecessary step.

Thanks for the reply.

Question: How does this stack up agains the Aladdin 2000? I've heard good things about this unit from GotApex's Gabriel (Apex). Thoughts?

How do you like yours, btw? did you get it installed by another person or did you DIY?

Aren't I full of questions today?

I have heard this is much better than the alladin. I've always liked Alpine alarms and Autopage was the OEM manufacturer for some of them (as I've been told many times over the years).

One thing that this Autopage has that I hear the Alladin doesnt? a FCC ID on the back of the remote. Not that it means much, but might keep interference down as that *should* mean its on non-competing frequencies with other things.

got it last week and been really busy, too busy to install yet. But there are a few other members here with them.

If I had one main gripe, its that controlling the factory alarm (arm, disarm, rearm) eats up your additional outputs that I'd like to have the option as using for windows. However, having seen a brand new car with this feature roll its windows down after a lightning strike and soak the car.... not sure I'd install them anyway. We were in an office watching a storm over the parking lot and a coworkers windows went down after a flash. It appeared to hop over the lot but I couldnt tell where the bolt hit.. anyway, I ran over to his desk because I thought he just hit the button accidently, like in his pocket. Not the case, they were on his desk. So he frantically tried to get the UP to work.. wouldnt.. by the time he got out there, his leather was VERY wet. He needed the UP/DOWN feature for many days after that as he tried to get his car to air out. :/

wow....

hey, how difficult is it to install it yourself, sir? i had a factory alarm (rather, dealer alarm) put in and it was freaking out at around the 14th month. with the existing plugs there, can i just sort of plug it right in there? that'd be great if that were possible... i just don't want to have to spend any more money than i have to ya know?
