FOLIATEC Caliper Paint Idea!

Ok my calipers are already painted gloss black but I want to change and buy the Foliatec caliper piant and since my car is Pebble Beige Metallic in color I would get the gold kit...or the silver kit...

what do you guys think is the gold paint going to "match" my car color or just keep black or change to silver...?

thank you in advance for any replies....

I just re-did mine today because they were chipping. I have red. I wish I had silver or black. Leave it as is..... Black rules.

I agree with black019. If don't want to use high temp. engine enamel there are still other options nobody considers. I used VHT brake caliper and rotor paint. It costs $11 for 2 cans. My friends have spent $40 on the FoliaTec kit and if you like I can get them on here to tell you mine looks just as good. It does not chip at all (and if you see way I brake you would be surprised ), can withstand wheelcleaners and ALWAYS stays shiny. Both the cans are paint, so you just use a wheelcleaner on the caliper to get the brake dust off (I used a wheelcleaner & toothbrush for the tough spots), sprayed on 3 coats and I was done. It has looked great from day one. I don't see why I should spend $40 on brake paint when I can get it for $11 and it looks just as good. BTW you can get the stuff at www.JCwhitney.com and I did mine silver I think it looks tight because of the silver rims. Pic below.

Thanks. But no they don't make a bronze or gold , only aluminium, black, blue, yellow, red, and orange. Here is the link for J.C. Whitney.

It's been a couple months. Just spray some wheelcleaner on it, let is sit for a few minutes, and rinse off. It will look as good as new. I can go take a picture for you now if you like (they haven't been cleaned in atleast 2 weeks), the dirt hardly shows.

The spray paint might look nice but heres a pic of the silver Foliatec paint. You can't see any metal showing through and the paint goes on thicker and much smoother. See for yourself:

I'm with black019 and Vyrus. I spend $4 on a nice can of engine enamal paint that is QUICK DRY and lasts really long. I just put three coats on this with a paint brush. Sorry the pic isn't so clear.
