Which Intake Should I buy?

Question: I am in the market for an intake but am fairly new to the topic. I just ordered a K&N Drop in filter although I realize that the drop in and the CAI are two different things. I want an intake that gives the most Hp while also stays the quietest. Also, if I get an intake do i have to remove the drop-in? I'm just confused and I know there are tons of topics on this when i do a search but then it just gets very overwhelming to me. Please explain what the different kind of intakes are and what one i should buy. Thanks so much fellow org members.

Learn from my mistake: Bought K&N drop in-returned it; bought stillen intake-liked; added fraken mid pipe-didn't notice much difference but began to experience low end torq. loss due to heat in the engine bay; tried to make a home depot heat shield-worked ok but....;Bought Ingen installed and love it-no low end heat-power loss not near as loud not much different from stock/little louder and the performance is as good if not better then the stillen/franken.
Get the most outta the board learn from the experience of others!!!!

I have the Injen as well, you have to remove all the stock intake plumbing, thus there is no place to install the K&N drop-in, the airbox is gone. I still have my drop-in in my stock box(in my closet ). Injen is a great intake and well worth the money!!!!!

Best of luck!!!!

At this point, the Injen CAI is by far the best intake available for the 5th gen. I'd like to see an AEM CAI, but until then, the Injen is the best.

I have FrankenCar intake and I love it.

I don't really notice any low-end power loss. I think power is up all around with this intake. Sounds great and I got it for a great price.
I am planning to add some extra tubbing to it, to direct more cooler air towards the filter.
