I'm glad to report that my RPM seems to be working fine. I know many of us have had problems with the RPM switch forgetting it's setting and such. I mounted mine in the dash fuse box so I can look at it while the car is running. All is well.

This is good news. I have my rpm switch and am awaiting the arrival of my VI. Is this a replacement rpm switch or is the original one just working consistenly now - was it originally in the engine compartment?

The original and was always mounted in the interior.

The RPM switch screwed up today. It would only activate the VI once and then the switch went into it's rapid blinking state. I had to reset the RPM switch completely. I guess I'll have to reset the switch once a week or so to be safe.

I'm probably going to order a VI by next summer, but with all these Harlan switch problems, is there another RPM switch I can/should get?? Thanks

Have you decided against getting Harlan to replace it?

I'm just going to wait and see what happens with Keven's switch. It only takes 20 seconds to reset the switch so it really doesn't bother me that much. In time, we'll figure out the problem.
