How do I know if I have an exhaust leak?

I recently installed a magnaflow muffler, the place where the mid pipe connects to the extension that goes to the muffler seems be sort of loose....... when I noticed it, right away I thought that maybe I also have an exhaust leak because of the looseness.....
so how can I find out if its leaking or not??

thanx in advance

Depends

Did you install your muffler yourself or did a shop do it? Personally I would take it in to a Midas or Minekee shope to have them test to see if there is indeed a leak. It should only cost about $20-30 so that shouldn't be too much of an issue. Sorry if this doesn't help but that's all I got...Word.

You could fire up your engine and put your hand around the connection to see if there is a leak. If there is you should know. Thats what I did anyway.

While the engine is idling, have someone cover the exhaust tip w/ their shoe while you listen to the questionable joint. If it is leaking you should hear air escaping from the joint. Also, if it's leaking, you should also be able to feel air escaping through the seam as well. Good luck.

you can also hear a buzzing sound often as the gaskets vibrate it happens when you're on the gas you can hear it if you drive next to a median or some other solid structure

If you have a leak in your exhaust your car would sound obnoxiously loud and ghetto
