Check this SplitFire Ignition coil upgrade from japan!

Anyway we can get that over to the USA?? Since a lot of people are having problems with their coil packs, might as well buy the much better upgraded version from japan if it's possible.

Here is the link: http://www.b-technology.com/sfj/DI_Menu.cfm

Are they even made for the VQ? It looks like it is only avail for Silvias and Skylines, although I can't really read much on the site.

They have an application for all the VQ series it costs 47500 in japanese currancy. How much would that be in US $??

PS. Follow that link and click on the drop down menu on top of the page and select the 4th line. VQ applications will be on the bottom of the list.

Peace.

That's not bad considering that people are paying about the same for 6 O.E.M coils at the dealer or elsewhere. This would definitely be a worthy upgrade because the O.E. coils are notorious for going bad sooner or later so it seems from my personal experience and all the posts on the .org. Plus, according to the dyno chart, an S14 Sylvia gain 10hp peak to the wheels.

Peace.

But what proof is there that these will last longer?

About that proof I don't know. Even if the aftermarket coils should go bad, which I doubt very much, SplitFire will more than likely replace them.

voltman, do a search on ignition coils and you'll see all the post about the problems people are having.

Peace.

Does anyone think this is good quality, or just another 475 dollar rip off like HKS's DIS?

I read an article in Super Street about the SplitFire DIS they used for an SR20DET conversion they did. They thought that it's a worthy mod, however I wouldn't put too much trust in their opinions

Peace.
