Losing 2 to 3 PSI a day

Hey folks,

I noticed I'm losing about 2 to 3 PSI a day on my rear passenger side tire. The car is only 4 months old. Can this be repaired? I honestly don't know, I've never had tire issues. I had Michelins on my SHO and didn't have problems for the 3 1/2 years I had the car.

Whether or not it can be repaired depends on where the leak is and what type of hole there is in the tire. If it is like a nail, etc in the tread, it can be repaired, but if it is in the sidewall you are S.O.L.. If there is no visable leak, it could be coming from the stem, or worse yet, if you hit a pothole, etc, you could have bent your rim. My advice would be to take it to a trusted mechanic/tire shop, have them throw it on the lift, and they can check it for you really quickly (or jack up the car and do it yourself). I am pretty sure our tires come with some type of warranty(like 1 yr) if it is a manufacturing defect, but more than likely you are gonna be paying for whatever remedy is needed.

The stem has a little thing in it that needs to be tight check that, it's real easy to tell when you pull the cap off, just listen for a sizzle air sound.

How do you tighten it? Turning it with a needle nose plyers?

bro, it's prolly just a nail. i had my car 3 months, got a nail in there...lost about 5psi a day. who cares if you only had it 3 months. nails don't feel sorry for you. they'll f*ck you over whenever they want.

$5 to patch it up and life goes on.

Get them to put a new valve in. While the tire is off, you (they) can inspect the rim / tire for damage. If you spot damage then you can fix it, as appropriate.

If the leaking stops, you know what the problem is, it the leaking doesn't stop you know what the problem is not.

That is sort off a slow leak but if u have a big tub that u can fill up with water. Take off your wheel and put it in the water. Bubbles will come out of the area that has the leak.

No, you need somthign much much smaller...There is a tool for it...But if you don't have it sometimes small twizers can work.
