I wish. Ever since I went to the Canadian GP 3 yrs ago, I've been itching to go back. The sound of those cars ripping by you is awe inspiring.

I'm glad to see there are some F1 fans here. Getting tired of seeing all these nascar guys down here in Florida (Can you see anymore of the #3 stickers?, pleeze !!!) If I wanted to see guys going around in circles, I'd go down to the Walmart .
Well at least CART is coming to St. Pete in February, a long shot from Formula One, but at least it's open wheel racing.

I love F1 racing. Thought I was the only one who ever followed it, considering the fact you rarely hear about it like you hear about nascar. Michael Schumacher has got skills when it comes to driving a F1 car. I went to a race in germany when he won. I was running late to the race when we stopped for gas and I could hear the cars engines running. The neat part was we were over 5 miles away. Those cars are LOUD!!!

Absolutely! Don't get me started on Williams and Mclaren. (Look at my name, I hope you know where I'm coming from!) I just feel bad for Salo and McNish, they did a wonderful job but end up getting axed!

Sunday result:
1st - The Chin
2nd - Rubens
3rd - Ralfie

I'll be there on Friday for some practice runs, then Saturday for the Porsche Pirrelli Cup and qualifications for the Ferrari 360 Modena Challenge. Sunday I'll be there again for the Finals in the Ferrari Challenge(nothing like seeing a slammed 360 Modena with a carbon fiber all over) and of course, the F1 race. Man, I can't wait..

Nealoc187- You can even buy tickets at the race from scalpers...I did last year and got awesome seats. Look out for the european guys selling ticktes...they usually have great seats.

The best seats in the house are probably 400 meters past the start/finish line where they have to brake into turn 1. Slowing down from 190+ to 40mph with their exhaust crackling from downshifts and their calipers glowing bright red is something to see! Then watching them clip the apex of that turn and lurch forward faster than you hear them accelerate gives me goosbumps all the time.

F1 baby, F1!!!!!

I wouldn't count Montoya out just yet. Like DC once said "he has big *****..." and I think it takes a little bit of that at Indy - kinda like taking Eau Rouge flat out. We know the guy has the speed to do win. I just wish that Michelin can get their act together.

My crystal ball says:
1: "The Chin"
2: Montoya
3: Rubens
And I would throw Salo into the mix too (kinda going out on a limb there...but Toyota does have a HP advantage).

Juan is going to duke it out with Kimi again and take each other out (Like Juan did to DC)... might be suprise to see Ford-guar in the mix as well.

Still:
1. The Chin
2. Rubeno
3. Ralfie

Spoken like a true F1 FAN. Another great seat is Stand B. You get to see and hear the best drivers go through the banking flatout pulling about 5 g's.

Do any of you have authentic F1 team shirts? I've seen a couple in online stores, but the ebay ones all look fake.

Well there's nothing Eau Rouge like about Indy. Especially the way they've got that road course designed. It's an easy flat through that banked turn 2 for any of them. Unimaginative, I believe was Shumi's word for it. Anyway, because they put those stupid chicanes in the infield the cars can't get enough exit speed out of the infield to make the banking on turn 2 (oval) an issue. When I was there in 2000 they were practicing in the rain - flat out through there no problem (in the rain).
But I would suggest to anyone who goes - it's probably too late anyway, but you could try this next year: Definately go for the three days and make sure you see all the support racing including the Silver Crown Sprint Cars at Indianapolis State Fairgrounds. Talk about brute horsepower. It's a 1 mile dirt track (which is big for a dirt track) and they were pulling the front wheels off the ground a third of the way down the straights. That's one thing on a small bull ring track (where they're geared low for it), but on a big track it just shows off the HP.
Anyway I digress. I went the last two years, but just couldn't bring myself to make the 900 mile trek this year - what with F1 being so competitive and all...
