1996 ECU question

I tried to do a search but found nothing. I have a 1996 5 speed and want to know if it is possible to use a ecu from a 96 automatic for a Gforce upgrade. Thanks

It will work, but you will get a check engine light becasue the ECU wont be able to find the transmission controller....
