Ok this is not a street racing topic. How many would think that my 96 gle 5spd with cattman ypipe and midpipe would beat a stock 2k2 auto? Assuming you have 4 people in the 2k2 and 3 in the 96 with 2 12's. Believe it or not, the 96. Boy was I surprised, and so was he. We didn't race on the street, wait we didnt race at all. all i gotta say is i got a big tonight. No bs.

Converted. Btw, that car was a 2k3, not 2k2. Should I have beat him or not? I found it strange that I did.

 

o ok i was wondering. Well autos seem to struggle a little more than manuals when weighted down so my guess is it would be close. A good driver in the 2k3 should pull a little from stop with you pulling it back on higher end with your bolt ons. I would say you both run at the track and see who the better driver is. I give it to the 2k3 when your both riding solo. Just my $.02

 

Just fyi, he has a 2k3 se, cloth, no bose, just 17" rims. NO mods.

I take him in 1st gear, slightly. Since the auto has a longer 1st gear, he jumps on me begginning of my second (hes in 1st still). Dead even, but in 3rd I start to slowly pull away. Didn't go any further than 3rd gear tho. For the mods, this wasn't street racing. This was on a closed off road by some warehouses where basically noone goes. I'm not an irresponsible driver.

I really thoguth the 2k3 was faster.

Anyones guess what I'd run in the 1/4 mile?

 

if you drive right you could probably pull a 14.9, 15

I'm pretty sure he did. He shifted from 1st to second to 3rd. WE didnt go any higher. I dont know if he tried it just leaving it in drive, but i pulled on him on 4/4 times in 3rd gear. 1st 2gears were even, with him slightly ahead end of his first gear.

 

Ive raced a 2k2 Auto Maxima in my 96 Auto Maxima. The 2k2 was stock and I had a hybrid intake and wsp y-pipe. From a start I jumped on him a bit(He was on the bumber of my car) at the end though I was doing about 100 and I was about 3 feet from his bumber.
