Just put on my frankencar...couple questions...

Just got my franken car yesterday and put it on today. I have an 95 auto, and it is 10X louder. I love it..especially under WOT. I can definetly tell a difference in hp to, especially from stock. I've heard to reset the ECU...I had the battery unpluged for about an hour...cus I cleaned the TB to while everything was off. Should that reset it? Also I still have the hood scoop and the bottom of the air box still in there. Should I take it out or leave it in? I don't know because I saw another pipe going below the battery and didn't know what it connected to. Thanx guys.

Peace - Chad

I am just about to install my Frankencar. Question. I removed my MAF but the resonator box is still attached. How do I separate the two? I see a rubber seal between the MAF and the resonator. Is the rubber seal permanently attached to the resonator, or the MAF? I am so afraid of breaking something.

You have to wigle them apart...slowly...they will come apart. I layed it on the floor resonator first...stepped on the resonator and pulled up SLOWLY on the MAF sensor.

yes your ecu was reset.
i just have a JWT pop, but i took out all that other crap in the way. it should just wiggle out. the pipe below the battery, i think thats another resonator, what i did was took out the plastic part that directs air to the airbox, and put the pipe leading under the battery upside down (facing the ground), so that foreign obstacles don't get in.

I think in Canada, the SE model is called ES.

The rubber seal can be removed.

Indecisive311 I didn't have to reset my ECU when mine was installed. You should be fine.

My mistake, thanks for correcting me. I still haven't removed the bottom of the airbox yet. I'm still trying to find out what the portion of the tube that goes below the battery is. Is it really a resonator like Dev said. I feel I should remove it because I have to bend the frankencar intake a little to make it fit. Does anyone know?

Thanks - Chad
