Um....

GS-T? Granted its only two wheel drive, but it is a turbo'ed 2 wheel dive. You will lose. Sorry.

Just something to keep in mind!

Guys just because it's turbo doesn't mean it's going to be a blow out. It may come down to driver skill since they are both 5 speeds. If it was a GSX I would say don't race from a standstill, cause he will kill you with the AWD launch. But since you are both FWD, it could really be close. Do us a favor and take it to the track and then you can be safe and the winner can have bragging rights documented.

Driver skill, thats true. I didnt say it would be a blow out though. But it also depends if hes not telling you something. Like upgraded turbo with blow off valve. Cant trust what people claim now'a days!

yep, check under the hood first, always a good idea. Sorry I missunderstood your comment, but it originally sounded like he had no chance of winning.

Be careful. You may have similar horsepower ratings, but one thing to consider is the weight of the Maxima. Your car has to be around 500 pounds heavier. In order to make up for this difference you will need at least 1 hp for every 10 pounds over your opponent. Not to say that you'll lose, but the race will likely fall to your opponent unless he drives like grandma, or has worn out that turbo!!

This is a race I wouldn't take. Too many chances to lose..
