this is within walking distance of my place. this kind of has me worried. apparently lately its been a bunch of stock Honda wheels that have been stolen but im still worried. maybe 1 set of wheel locks isnt enough...
Wheel locks?
It doesn’t matter if you put a different type of wheel lock on each stud. They sell a tool that bypasses every type of wheel lock. I don’t want to give the details about the tool for obvious reasons. Bottom line, if they want them, they’re gonna get em’.
thats why i love my Rims and nuts..
my lug nuts are all groved and need a special tool to match up with the grooves to take them off.. the tool is very thin.. and anything thicker than that won't fit in that space between the nut and the holes in the rim

actually in order for you to buy the special tool you would have to buy that set of locks. I don't think someone would spend that much money buying 5 sets of wheel locks to get the tool. Plus there are a lot of different kinds of lock nuts and tools.
yeah sprint, this is my apartment at school.
anything helps. if it takes 30 mins instead of 10 mins that is an extra 20 mins they have to get caught. if someone wants my rims they will get them. i agree with that. but if its just some local thugs who arent prepared they will have no choice but to bypass my wheels if they dont have the necessary tools. that is better than nothing.

not to put down the idea, but wheel locks, no matter how many you have, will just slow them down, not discourage them from yanking your rims. if they want them, they'll take them.

but good luck remembering which lock goes where and on which wheel!
I hope you didn't overtorqued the wheel locks. And be careful if you bring your car to service and your wheels need to be taken off to do whatever service. Not once, but twice, the tire shop that I went to overtorqued the McGard wheel locks that I had and I couldn't get them off afterward. I ended up stripping them. It was a real PITA to get them off.

Good stuff. They won't strip/rust like conventional lugs sold at local rice shops. Just don't do what cumalot did.

i live in an apartment complex that has roving security in the evening. so im thinking my max will be safe, but on the little info board they have all these notes that says "CLUB YOUR CAR" !
the majority of the cars in the lot have the club on them !
even the clunker toyo pickup!
the only good thing is that i can hear my car from the bedroom.
which is what i dont want to hear.
