I was driving on the highway when all of a sudden there's an A4 behind me thats on my a$$... so naturaly I speed up and WOT it and he's still right behind me ... my exit comes, he gets off with me and we hit a light. the A4 had rims looked lowered and im thinking I should be able to take him... it's just an A4... light turns green and we're off. first gear: I get a good start but he just blows me off the line! second gear: he's still getting away! and third well I think it's safe to say that I got smoked... man what the heck did it have?! it was 1.8T... I remember people saying that they could be fast but not hella fast! it must have been a high 13s low 14s car.

 

It's prolly AWD so if you didn't get a good jump, you'll get owned. The 1.8T adds 50 hp just with a chip. So it could be a semi sleeper. Rims don't mean anything.

 

installed that thing can have a minimum of 280 crank hp. I think they dyno about 250hp at the wheels. The kit is pretty cheap approx. $3400 nice way to go from 150-170hp stock to 280hp !!!! With a bigger intercooler that thing is over 300hp. That Audi / VW 1.8T engine is incredible !!!!

 

Just wait till I get my internals done, I'll crank the boost and spank the living sh*t outta those Audis aka VW engines...

...although you gotta admit, they are pretty sweet.

The VR6 has tons more potential. Read more the treats of being spanked by a GTI VR6 with turbo...

Nickstam is right. With a chip , those cars can easily gain up to 50 hp, plus any other mods it might have. By the way, my friend in school has a 2002 GTI 1.8 turbo (moded) and that thing has almost 280 @ the wheels. My max is a snail compared to it.( sad, but true)
