I'll throw in my dyno numbers from yesterday too...

301 was the highest horsepower and 264 was the highest torque (vs. the average of 258 whp, 241.81 tq with the broken flex section ).

It was a baseline dyno session, so no major tuning was involved. Seems like the car held back on the top end for some reason (VI is working)... The car ran better when the fuel curve was in the 11.X:1 ratio. It put down 27X whp with 12.X:1, but bumped up to 29X whp with 11.X:1. If I wasn't selling the SC, I would've pushed every ounce of hp out of the car.

The car "should" be putting out at least 330 whp with proper tuning on the 2.87" SC pulley 5 speed.

Picked up 4 codes on the dyno
- crankshaft POS (been there)
- auto comm (been there)
- another O2? (different/new)
- same O2 but voltage was off? (different/new)

#3 and #4 surprised me because the problem was fixed before the dyno (different DTC from the last dyno session).

There was an exhaust leak from the y-pipe installation which I didn't fix.

SC go bye bye..... hello turbo.

Good info.

How did the richness effect the low-mid hp/tq?

I think someones butt-dyno needs calibration.

So does the car feel quicker now that the flex section is fixed?

I want to say at least +10 whp with it being richer all around...

nice numbers but on what car are you installing the turbo on your car or Janes car? Either car will get some large numbers from that Turbo set up.

Yeah good choice man. Turbos with electronic boost controllers are fun. With superchargers you don't have that much control, you gotta change the pulleys and stuff. And dispite what people say, I love boost lag. I think it's fun. I like to drive right on the threashold of making boost and just kinda tap the throttle and my car makes a really cool noise when the boost comes on. I think the sound of a supercharger is cool though. But so is the sound of a turbo. I built my own downpipe for my wrx. 4" downpipe. The spooling noise of the turbo is mad loud. It's awesome. My friends say my car sounds like a cartoon. First you hear the air, PSSSSSSSHHHHHHHT, then at about 5 grand you hear the turbo spinning like crazy. It's cool. Sorry, I'm rambling.
