The plastic covers for my headlights are really dirty and have lots of small holes in them. Everyone says they just use plastic polish to make them clear again and I've looked in all the auto parts stores and in walmart but haven't been able to find any. Is there any specific brand or anything else i could use to clear them up? Thanks

3M makes the best plastic polish.

 

Mothers makes it as well, small red bottle, usually right next to "back to black" window molding treatments. Around $7.

I bought Meguiar's Plastic cleaning kit. It has a plastic cleaner, plastic polish and a combo cleaner/polish. It sounds like you need the Plastic Cleaner and Polish. Their website is www.meguiars.com
I have had very good results with it.

 

Blue Coral makes a cleaner that works wonders for this..it is in a white bottle and says Convertible Window & Plastic Cleaner...it should (like all of the ones listed) be used on a cool surface and cleaned properly before and after use.

 

I think much of that yellow haze may be coming from inside the lens...that is the impression that I got with my foggy i30 headlights..

 

I have tried many things to clean up my headlights but I am just doomed to foggy headlights.

Does that back to black treatment restore the color on the black crossbars between the driver and passenger doors? Does Mauire make this also? In addition, I accidently turned on the wipers when there was no rain by accident, slip of the hand. Now, I have some scratches on my windshield. The scratches aren't depp though because you can even feel them. Is there any polish that can remove it?

 

Mothers plastic polish works best on things like: light covers, clear plastics, shiny plastics.

 

Just bought some of the plastic cleaner from Autozone. I can't believe i didnt see it last time i was there because i bought some back to black for the rotting vinyl around the windows and the plastic cleaner was right next to it. Today (like every Saturday) is car wash day and i cant wait to use it and have clear lenses Thanks

 

Don't waste your $ on some plastic polish stuff. A lot of products contain the same ingredients. paraffin wax, isoparaffinic hydrocarbon, silicone. You most likely have the stuff in your cabinet right now. Use Pledge furniture polish. It does a good job of removing the haze from plastic. But you will have to re-apply it from time to time.
