Installed FSTB today...
I installed my 2K Courtesy FSTB today (in 20 degree weather
[Thanks, Mechanix gloves! - http://www.mechanix.com] ). The install was pretty straight forward.
The bar looks good and performs well.
I really did not know what to expect of the FSTB, other than what has been posted on this site. I have never driven a car with a FSTB installed.
I will say the steering is more precise, in that when you turn the wheel at speed the car will turn more precisely in that direction. That is the nature of the beast. Note: Do not perform post-installation test drive on icy roads, such as I experienced with patches of ice here and there, for the results may be skewed
, : your findings will be less than desirable.
Overall, I am pleased. Next is the Stillen RSB followed by the H&R springs.

Also, my metal spacers, which came on the car, would not fit beneath the FSTB.
There is a "notch" on each of the spacers. The notch, on the driver's side, was positioned to the inside of the engine, whereas the notch on the passenger's side was facing towards the front of the engine compartment. I could not get the FSTB to fit over those spacers. Apparently, they are different.
I "eyeballed" them and noticed they were not the same. I even placed them back-to-back in every direction.
In any regard, I removed the stock metal spacers and simply bolted the FSTB down per the instructions of 35 ft lbs.

Maksama, just remember if you grab that bar without gloves, after it's been sitting out in the cold, it's gonna be real cold. Don't put your tongue on it because your tongue might stick to it.

Does the Courtesy FSTB fit without any mods?
Seems like there was some controversy regarding whether the more economical Courtesy FSTB required some cutting or other non-trivial modification to fit.
Can any of you Courtesy FSTB owners comment on whether they fit "right out of the box" or not?
Thanks.

Mat . . .
The older version of Courtesy Nissan's FSTB did require some cutting/grinding on the driver's side strut mount. I'm not sure if the new one does or not. But it's easy enough to find out. Just give Courtesy Nissan a call at (800)527-1909 and ask them.
