You guys know I'm not fond of the Blue Vision, but...the 9004WV bulbs are excellent bulbs for visibility (in dry weather so far). These are gold-ion bulbs (light coating), which cast a light gold light on the ground. The beam pattern is extremely uniform, with minimal rainbow effects (except when driving behind a tractor trailer or the high beams on). Looking at the headlights, it looks like the blue-ion with gold tint to it.

So far, I can say, these are the best bulbs for visibility without costing an arm or a leg. This includes all the PIAA, Optiblue, and Hiper blues I've used also, which the beam pattern is far from uniform.

They cost a buck more than Blue Vision at K-Mart.

Sounds like they're for go, not show. Good find. I have the Sylvania CB bulbs - very white, high contrast - don't look blue though (I'm more interested in seeing - like you)

I based this experience with the WV bulbs from the 3 hours straight of night driving. I also have gold ion-dichroic driving lights (PIAA 1253), but they were shut off when I made my observations. I plan on wasting more money sometime and comparing the WV's to other ion gold bulbs, like PIAA, Razo, etc. Eventually my Camry will be show also, but it's will be much more on the go side.
