EXTREME Rattle inside 5th gen w/ SUB

I have a 2000 GXE, and when playing songs with alot of BASS i get a TON OF RATTLE! it seems mostly to be coming from the rear windshield, like where it meets the plastic and the roof. Is there anythign i can do to lessen this rattle w/ out buyign sound deadening material?
Thanks
-Pat

Dynamat the rear deck of your car. I did it to mine with no more rattles. The Blose sub that back there in my car used to rattle like crazy

Dynamat would be your best solution. Without it there is not much you can do

Get Xtreme Dynamat. They make it in a 4sq foot roll. Roll the Dynamat out and cut the piece to size and use a rubber roller to roll the mat over the metal surface underneath the rear deck. I'd take a pic of my rear deck and show you but I'm at work It is really easy to apply

dave, if you could take a pic, it would be appreciated. because for me it seems like most of the rattle is up towards the top. But where ever you think it is needed i will do

I had some MADD rattle in my trunk when i did and tested my sub install..my solution..i stuffed 4-5 old t-shirts down the holes each side of the trunk. no more rattl. (well except for the trunk which i havent got to yet.

I also found out that hot glueing and old bath towel to the base of the sub box will drastically reduce unwanted noises.

Yeah, I put a sub in my 5th gen, and I get tons of rattles. I used dyanamat xtreme in the trunk floor, wheelwell, and trunk lid. I need to also do inside of the quarter panels, and that rear deck just recently started rattling like crazy!

Inside the Rear quarter panels is what i meant, sorry.

if you stick your hand down the left quarter panel you will feel some kind of rubber mat.. (i have no clue what this is for)..it flaps like crazy against the plastic mesh where it rests upon, so i pulled it through one of the mesh holes to make it stay still. no more rattle.

enjoy!
