Aftermarket cd-player w/ bose speakers....QUESTIONS!!!

ok, i'm planning to take out my bose head unit and put my panasonic mp3-player in but i want to keep all my bose speakers since they sound real clear and haven't blown....yet. Just want to know what are my options as far as hook up.

Is it possible to keep amps that come with speakers and just have cd player hooked up to bose? is that possible being the cd player has a 50X4 output and i don't see anything for cutting off internal amp. (bose speakers with bose amps and aftermarket cd player)

OR cd player hooked directly to bose speakers. i heard that the speakers run at like 1 ohm vs the average head unit that runs at like 4. Heard this may put a strain on the head unit.

or buy an extra amp for the speakers. This is what i most likely WONT do since i am cheap and don't want to spend too much plus i was happy with my old speakers hooked up to this same head unit on my last car.

the end result will be panasonic cd player hooked up to bose speakers somehow. Just want to know if anyone has done this yet and have they experienced any problems....

Rewire it

Dude, honestly I would recommend rewiring your speakers. I recently did that, and it only took like 4 hours to make it look all professional. You will need to wire around the amps, but that aint hard. All the people online are talking about the bose being different impedence so they would sound crappy, but they really sound fine. This also gives you the choice at a later time to just swap out the speakers.
