After a long absence, wondered if you guys would be interested in this body kit

This has just been made for 1993-97 Altimas and over the winter I hd considered doing it for Maximas. For any of you who remember me from before, I was trying to get a kit made for you guys without having much funding. Now I'm incorporated and have sufficient resources to get this done. Anyone like it? (see signature)

I will also be making the WRx style fenders (front replacement direct bolt on, rear caps to be molded on)
and possibly a vented CF hood.

What I'll do is Photoshop it onto a Maxima to show you guys what it would look like...but you can get a very good idea from the Altima pic.

that kit looks good but it looks like a replica of the skyline kit made by maximum tunning...

Hey, your effort is noteworthy, but I don't think we need another skyline-esque kit for the Maxima. This is my idea:

We need a kit that flattens out the profile of the nose a little more (like the G35), but without quite so much lip. Perhaps, no holes for stock turn signal pieces, to clean up the front a bit more.

I like sideskirts and rear valences of the new '03 mercedes E class. They add some profile to the car, while not making the car look boxy. Also something similar in design would provide some much needed body lines to the flanks.

Overall, I think the Max needs something to accent the body, not something that will drastically reduce ground clearance. Skyline kits are cool, but not really livable. Give us something new and more practical.

hmmm...
I see a SLIGHT resemblance...only the two vents on either side of the intercooler area are sort of the same shape...but otherwise I think they are quite different. The upper grille will be integrated and very VERY different from stock, the center area is built out, where the Maxximum one is flat...
That is a nice kit though, and if I do go ahead and make mine then mixing and matching would be a definite possiblilty from an aesthetics point of view.

Do you guys really think it's that similar?

It shouldent mater i they look the same ( I can see the diffrence ) but if you feel you can make the kit for us cheep, people will buy, we only have one kit thats dollars, the rest are over a grand.

This one will be $800 plus shipping, that price is 100% confirmed.
Made by people who have done stuff for the aerospace industry, I will guarantee quality and fitment.

Vesaijan, thanks for your input, you make some good points, but unfortunately it has to be at least loosely based on the kit in my signature or I won't be able to afford it cost/time wise. Basically I have spent over $12000 just developing the lines of this style, and for me to do that again so soon after this initial one just isn't in the cards.

I think this kit could look really good on the car, but I see where you're coming from. I think the Stillen kit does exactly what you are suggesting...a little more subtle. This kit I've made is only for people who want to turn heads, enter shows and have people say "Holy SH**...what the FU** is that???"

I'm definitely into the more "classy/sport" style too, so maybe that style will come next.
For now though, it's Skyline all the way.

Oh...what do you guys think about the fenders? Makes a widebody look, those will sell for $500 + shipping for front and rears, or $400 with a kit.

that altima nor the 4th gen maxima is not a crease line car. It more of a car of smooth curves. All i see is confliciting looks.

I think the kit would look good, but if you start production, you should make it ouf of urathane. Not that cheap **** that cracks and bends. Also, you should incoperate the stock grill and the blinker lights, if not it would be crap. I am telling you, if you made it out or Urathane, so would sell so many of them.

I'm just glad to hear another kitmaker is in the market, but now I'm having trouble deciding. This kit is great, altima8, but still, there has been no kits for the Maxima that include a change in the hood...

If I do a photoshop on an I30 would you consider making it for them, I will not post them up on here since I dont want Ideas flying and people stealing them. If you need to contact me:

Email: luke@vqpower.com
AIM: maximagtr1
IRC: gtr_rider
ICQ: 137626613

If it is considered and made, maybe a little designed by... on the inner side somewhere?

I will probably do a vented CF hood for the Max as well, it's just not pictured in my sig on the Altima. I just have to see if it's economically feasible.
I have to get people to get rid of this negative image they have of fiberglass...I don't get it...on all boards except altimas.net everyone says stuff like "urethane or don't bother"

I don't think people realize how expensive the moulds are for urethane...
I agree though, bad quality fiberglass is bad...and most fiberglass does fall under that category. HOWEVER, if it's done properly it fits and resists damage as well as any urethane kit does. Too bad it's so rare.

I guarantee fit and quality on all my stuff, so if anyone WERE to order something and not be satisfied with it my manufacturer accepts responsibility.

That is not bad pricing, but I can beat your pricing on the basic 4 piece body kit with full front and rear bumper replacements, and side skits by $150 if I get a group deal.

It's all relative my son. A $300 kit is a $300 kit, an $800 kit is an $800 kit...so it really isn't about "beating price" unless it's for an identical item, in which case yes...I'd be concerned.

wait, you guys are making totally different body kits. Ones subaru wrx and ones skyline r33. I like both of them, and they both will add to the 4th gen max list! I personally wouldve bought that over the maxxtunging kit but i was impatient and bought the maxxtuning kit. I like the grille! It replaces the grille and the bumper?

Yeah, I feel ya man...I've learned not to make this industry into a competition thing at all. There are plenty of customers to go around.

Yup mine does replace the upper grille section by the way.
