Go to http://www.tirerack.com
You'll find all the info you need. I have Dunlop sp5000s and love them, very good traction for all-season tires.

I have Dunlop SP Sport 8000s. They are not all-season tires, but traction is GREAT. Don't know about treadlife yet, but they are Zs so I am not expecting too much.

I have Dunlop SP Sport W-10's, v rated on the stock se 16 rims. I just got them on Saturday, and they stick to the road pretty damn well. As far as tread life, well I'ts obviously a little too early to tell.

I too think the Potenza 730's are the best tires for the Max. Especially for the $. Tire rack's website will tell you that too.

What are your needs/driving conditions?

Summer or All-season?
Dunlop SP SPort 5000 and Yokohama AVS dB Decibel are probably the 2 best all-season tires out there. I like the Dunlops personally. I think pricewise tehy win out as well.

If summer only, I'd get the Bridgestone Potenza RE730 as has been stated several times in the Thread. I've heard great things about teh Firestone Firehawk SZ50 and the SZ50 EP seems to be an improvement on that. I think that they cost more than the Bridgestones though

I have used all tires being mentioned.

Dunlop SP8000 on the max and on our last car a subaru SVX
good bang for the buck with good overall tire wear and performance in wet and dry conditions

Yokohama avs were also on the max. We felt that it wore rather quickly though performed well, however a little more expensive then the Dunlop sp8000

I have the Dunlop w-10 on the volvo 850 turbo. nice cheap tire. though they are not z rated, however I dont think we will be running our maxes at that high speed for prolonged intervals.

Finally, I had falkens on the volvo. great dry performance. Thought they sucked in the rain though even though they had that rain groove.

I had Bridgestone potenzas on my 88 mustang 5.0. Loved the tire and pretty cheap. Performed extremely well when we used to race the car.

Just to give you some options and opinions. If I had to rate them:

1. Dunlop SP8000 or the Bridgestone
2. Yokohama AVS
3. Dunlop w-10
4. Falkens(unless you are in dry weather quite a bit. then they worked well)

Hope I helped

The Dunlops give great lateral traction as well as forward traction. But I think the wet traction could be a little better. It can be tough in a 5-speed without spinning the tires when it's wet. If you get the Dunlops be sure to rotate them at 3k-5K as they will wear early if you don't.

What about TOYO????

They are the best tires in my opinion that's because I live in miami and it doesn't rain that much here so I'm str8. I think you should go with the yokohama's. I think they are softer than the dunlops, but not to soft.

pirelli 7000 supersport all season tires, very good on everything daily driver, excellent when needed to be, although potenza's are really good, but it's to firm, but then it really depends where u are and what u're needs are.

I have Yokohama S306 model tires. They're bad *** for everything. I've driven in ice, rain, and dry 150 degree pavement with 'em. They're "H" rated so they'll allow the car's top speed. I love 'em. Then again, I have a 3rd gen.
