I had my first wreck this morning
This morning I had a wreck.
I was taking a left turn and didn't see - get this - a semi-truck that was already going straight. My windows were fogged up - that was stupid
So all of a sudden I notice the truck and swerve - just in time. We collided, but not bad. My front right quarter panel was crushed, but not terribly. The bumper and hood sustained a little damage, not too bad. I was scared, because when I first looked I saw a greenish/bluish substance leaking onto the ground. I was convinced that I had screwed my radiator/coolant. Turned out it was windshield washer fluid - that was a relief. Also, one of my steelies was a bit bent up and tire deflated - I don't know if it was punctured, or if the air just came out from the bent rim. That's being repaired now. Other than that, the car is drivable. The headlights are in good shape, the clearnace light is ok (the bulb died) and it's a little out of place. The clear corners: the sidemarker one shattered, but somehow thats the only bulb that survived
. On the signal, the plastic piece w/ screw broke off from the main assembly. That may be repairable but if anyone wants to donate that piece (nondiamond cut) I'd appreciate it (I have another sidemarker piece somewhere). The only other problem that I know of is the fact that the right turn signal is "hyperactive." I'm not sure why (maybe bad wires?). I'll search, but if anyone knows how to deal with that, I'd appreciate it. I guess I got off easy. The body work will be done soon enough (for Xmas, since parents just canceled collision insurance since it was expensive). I'll keep on moddin too.

Glad you came out of it, but the reason your signal is going crazy is because its sensing that there is no bulb in there or that it is burnt out which from your description it is. If you try putting in another bulb or something it might work again. Also from what Cy said, it looks as though your windsheild washer bottle was hit, check and see if your oil filter is still intact or cracked or anything since its down there.
Yup got a bulb in and turn signal works well. This will be kinda a fun new project for the max - tryin to see the bright side. I checked everything and took it to our family mechanic who checked everything out (for no charge). Amazing that the only thing broke was exterior. So I'm working on puttin my CCs back in so the car doesn't look too ghetto with the spare and all. I got lucky. Good lesson to learn. Bright side: repainting hood/bumper gets rid of all the nasty dings!
