This should be the order in which they appear:

Battery, door open, seat belt, washer fluid, defogger, fuel

you might also have low coolant, headlamp out, taillamp out, crusie, sensor

the instrument panel lights should be BRAKE, left turn signal, right turn signal, hi-beam, voltmeter, fuel gauge, temperature, oil pressure

Now for the description.
the light that looks like a battery actually is misleading. It doesn't mean the battery is bad. It actually warns of a problem with the alternator/charging system, that the alternator is not putting out enough voltage to charge the battery and power the car. but is usually caused by a bad belt. should go off when the car is turned on.

Door open - any of the doors are opened.
Seat belt - front drivers side or passengers side seatbelts are unbuckled.
Washer fluid - the windshield washer fluid is low.
Coolant (looks like a house) - radiator fluid is low.
Defogger - defogger is on
Fuel - about 2 1/8 gallons of fuel are left. (mine doesn't work)
Headlamp out - you have a burned out headlight
Taillamp out - you have a burned out taillight
Cruise - Cruise control is activated
Sensor - comes on every 30,000 miles regardless to remind you to check the exhaust gas sensor.

BRAKE - parking brake is set. Also means brake fluid in the master cylinder is low.
Turn signals - respective turn signal is on - if it blinks really fast, you have a turn signal out.
HI-BEAM - hi-beams are on, but in my car it came on when a headlight was out.

Voltmeter - reports the charging system voltage from the alternator to the battery. should be between 12 and 16. 14-15 is average. if it goes between 12, you got a problem.

Fuel - How much fuel is left.

Temperature - coolant temperature. should be about halfway.

Oil pressure gauge - Pressure of oil, NOT amount of oil. Should be between 14 and 60 PSI.

Hope this helps!!
