I've got a FSTB and RSTB from my 4th gen -- I'll eventually put them on, but I was wondering if boxing the suspension helps frame rigidity enough to reduce / prevent squeaks and rattles? What have ya'll found so far?

You stuck a 4th gen FTSB on a 5th gen? Those two braces have a totally different design. The 5th gens have arched braces while the 4th gens are straight. Make sure you check to see if you have clearance problems or not because there must be a reason on having arched 5th gen braces.

 

Does the 2K Maxima have any squeeks/rattles?

When I slapped on the front and rear STBs on my Z, cowl shake was reduced; the chassis felt much tighter and stronger.

I just installed a <a href="http://www.eatricezone.com/miata/suspension/404540A.html">GReddy FSTB</a> and <a href="http://www.eatricezone.com/miata/suspension/404475A.html">Cusco front lower subframe brace </a>on the Miata.. huge difference. The Miata, due to the convertible design, doesn't have the same chassis structural and torsional rigidity as say.. a 2K Maxima, so the addition of any braces makes a noticeable difference.

 

No, not yet... it seemed it would fit from a visual inspection, but apparently looks can be deceiving...

Sure does Phuong . . . both before and after I installed my FSTB and RSB.
